Each beat pounds with the memory of you.
A self-inflicted scar, a great hurt. 
You deserved sunflowers of hope instead of the shower of uncertainty. 
I let go of a priceless gemstone to be forged
While time is glue not easily removed, experiences are the cement blocks of life. 

Angst to sadness, and sorrow to smiles of lust, then pain to hope
You shocked my system in a way I can never forget. 
Your name still cuddles my tongues tip,
Eager to embrace at any thought of you. 
I scream your name to release these feelings. 

No relationship exists without obstacles, no love without hurdles, I cannot believe I fell short and tumbled while you stayed sturdy looking to cross our finish line, I commend you. 
For completing a race, I could not. 

Now you are moving on; I would be selfish to rewind your life.
 To bring tears to your eyes over my indiscretion, my stupidity.
